Will Lahti

Biographical Information

Will Lahti was born in 1970 in Minnesota and grew up on the Iron Range and the
West Bank in Minneapolis. His grandparents are from South Ostrobothnia, and he
is currently a return migrant with a Finnish wife.

Will Lahti has done a little of everything, as he says he has been "dishwasher,
cook, bartender, cafe proprietor, framer, demolition worker, tree planter,
wheelbarrow pusher, logger, fisherman, nanny, preschool teacher, summer camp
counselor, business manager, and chicken farmer."

He also served as Poetry Editor of short lived
UMD Statesperson. He currently
lives and works in Jyväskylä, and studies at the University of Jyväskylä. In addition,
he is a painter and has seen some success in selling his pieces.
