Peter J. Kivisto
Finnish North American Literature Association
Biographical Information:

Peter Kivisto was born in Ishpeming, Michigan, in 1948. Married with two children,
he makes his home in Illinois,  where he teaches in the Department of Sociology at
Agustana College in Rock Island. He works in the areas of immigrant history and
ethnicity and has done extensive research on Finnish Americans in both Finland
and the United States. In 1984, he was a Fulbright Scholar at Turku University.
