Biographical Information

Lisbeth Holt, nee Elizabeth Katka, was born in Vaasa, Finland, in 1942, and grew up on the
Iron Range in Minnesota. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Hibbing Junior
College and a Bachelor of Arts from Bemidji State University. She also spent her junior year
at Oregon State University at Corvallis.

In northern California, she taught high school, and in Palm Beach, Florida, she taught middle
school. In Washington, DC, she served as a receptionist/secretary at the Embassy of
Finland.

She married Gary Kleinsasser and has three children, Woodrow, Lawrence, and Taru. She
also has two granddaughters, Rachel and Autumn, and a great-granddaughter, Elleigha.

She says, "My passions are literature and travel--especially to Latin America."

Lisbeth Holt has published travel writings in Travel World News, JaxFax, and Mayatour
Newsletter
; she has online travel publications in Mayatour and Cultured Traveler.

Her book of poems, Life is a Chrysanthemum, is expected out shortly.
