Sinikka Gronberg Garcia

Biographical Information

Sinikka Gronberg Garcia was born in Finnish Karelia and migrated to North
America and finally the US. At eight years old, she was forced from her home with
the rest of her family by the Russian army.  They fled from Helsinki during the
bombing of World War II, the continuation war, and lived in Lapland, Germany,
Mexico, and finally ended up in the United States.

Sinikka Gronberg Garcia has lived in Arizona for more than three decades.

Europe embroiled in war in the 1930s and 1940s as well as chronicling her
