Gary Anderson

Biographical Information:

Gary Anderson has been the moderator for the spoken word events at Finnish-American Folk
Festivals and FinnFest USA in Nasalle, Washington, and Astoria, Oregon. He writes about
growing up as a Finn, man's relationship with the natural environment and the ironies of
looking back over more than 60 years. Although he has been a lifelong resident of the Pacific
Northwest, much of hjis inspiration comes from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where he
lived for ten years.
